Peacock STRIDES for Babies 5K

Stay active for more than just your health. Peacock Strides for Babies is a 5K race that raises money to help fund research towards combating Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Since 2009, the race has raised over $150,000 and only continues to shed light and hope towards ending this tragic problem.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival

St. Patrick’s Day is one where everyone become Irish for the day, regardless of your

background. This festival held in Downtown Greenville gives people the chance to celebrate and enjoy a fun filled Irish parade. Featuring live Irish music, dancing, activities for children, and traditional Irish foods to indulge in.

The Community Tap Craft Beer Festival

How to Celebrate the Solar Eclipse in Greenville

Millions of visitors will flood to South Carolina to watch the solar eclipse from all around the nation. The path of totality will pass through Columbia, Greenville and Charleston where there will be one to two minutes of blackout! When the eclipse comes, where will you be?

We will be hosting a Black Out party at 12:30 p.m. on our pool deck! Let’s experience the total eclipse together over drinks, light appetizers and eclipse viewing glasses as Greenville completely blacks out at 2:39 p.m.


Here are a few other local spots hosting eclipse events:

The Greenville Drive will play West Virginia at 1pm on eclipse day. Game play will stop for the totality portion of the game and eclipse glasses will be provided upon entrance to the stadium.

Furman University will host a free viewing of the total solar eclipse at Paladin Stadium from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Events include streaming live coverage from NASA, narration by Furman scientists, educational activities, “Eclipse@Furman” viewing glasses, concessions and live music.

At NOMA Square, the “Eclipse over NOMA” party will be celebrating with tunes by Katie & Larry and a cash bar from 1-4pm. Click here for more details on their Facebook page.

The Children’s Museum of the Upstate will be having a “Total Solar Eclipse Party.” This event is rain or shine and all activities are free with museum admission. Activities include story time for all ages, pinhole projectors, moon phase activities, live streams from NASA and the Smithsonian, Women in Astronomy activities in the Spark!Lab and more. Our Main Fourth of July Plans

Have you made your Fourth of July plans yet? If you live at Main & Stone Apartments, you’ll be in prime fireworks viewing territory!

The Wells Fargo Red, White, and Blue Festival presented by AT&T is Greenville’s premier Fourth of July celebration and includes one of the state’s largest fireworks displays!

This free event runs from 5:00 – 10:00 pm on July 4 and features live music on two stages, fun-filled activities in the kid zone, and a ton of popular food and beverage vendors. The event itself takes place in downtown Greenville from Court Street to Falls Park Drive, if you want to walk on over!

If fighting holiday crowds isn’t your thing, this is your lucky day! Main & Stone residents get a front row seat to see the fireworks on Tuesday night on the top level of the parking garage! That’s right, join your neighbors on top of the deck and watch the fireworks from home. Talk about loving where you live!

One of our favorite things about this time of year in Greenville is the Saturday Market! Starting in May and running through October, the Saturday Market happens every Saturday morning from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm at Main Street at McBee Avenue. That’s right, it’s just one mile from your Main & Stone Apartment!

During the market, two blocks of Main Street are completely transformed from road into bustling farmers market. All food vendors at the market must grow or produce their products within 100 miles of Greenville, so you know you’re getting something fresh and local! Continue reading

With Main & Stone’s incredible location at the corner of Main Street and Stone Avenue in downtown Greenville, you’re never far from a great shop, hangout, or restaurant. In our Main & Stone Must Try series, we bring you some of our most beloved neighborhood spots. In this week’s edition, we’re talking about local favorite, Universal Joint.

Just two blocks from Main & Stone (seriously, it’s a five-minute walk from your apartment!) on Stone Avenue, Universal Joint is a great lunch, dinner, and late-night spot. They serve killer burgers and a wide variety of other options!

In addition to the great food, Universal Joint has a great outdoor patio so you can sip and dine al fresco in the Greenville sunshine. Plus, with a trivia night, you can enjoy your burger and exercise your mind all at the same time.

Insider tip: parking can be tight, so your best bet is to walk from your Main & Stone Apartment.

One of our favorites is McPherson Park, the oldest historic city park in Greenville. It’s just a six-minute walk or two-minute bike ride from your apartment at Main & Stone!

McPherson Park has walking paths and pedestrian bridges across babbling brooks, picnic tables and shelters perfect for birthday parties or family gatherings, playgrounds and miniature golf courses for the kids in all of us, and lighted tennis courts to practice your forehands!

St. Patrick’s Celebrations!

On Sunday, March 12, Greenville is really going green! At NOMA Square, just half a mile from your Main & Stone Apartment on Main Street, you’ll be able to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with all your favorite Greenville neighbors.

The Irish festival will begin at 1:00 pm and will feature all things Irish: music, dancing, food, beer, and crafts! Admission is free and with your apartment so close by you won’t have to worry about driving your car there, either.

Want to start your St. Patrick’s celebrations even earlier on Sunday? The parade will also commence at 1:00 pm, running down Main Street from Broad Street to North Street.
