At Main and Stone, we feel so fortunate be able to call this area our home. Nothing quite compares to Southern Cuisine, and fortunately, Greenville offers an array of different options when it comes to food. With so many unique and enticing restaurants frequently popping up around town, it’s apparent that the restaurant scene is thriving. No matter what type of cuisine you’re in the mood for, there’s most likely a restaurant nearby that can satisfy those cravings.

Best Food

Soby’s New South Cuisine opened in 1997 and has been a local favorite ever since! Located in the heart of Greenville, Soby’s is a mixture of history and rustic charm. They create thoughtfully prepared southern style cuisine with a focus on using locally grown, seasonal ingredients. The beautiful brick interior exudes a warm and inviting ambiance while the friendly service will make you feel right at home. Be sure to try one of these popular signature menu items- Crab Cakes, Fried Green Tomatoes, Shrimp and Grits, or White Chocolate Banana Cream Pie.

If you’re in the mood for something a bit more casual, The Anchorage is located in the Village of West Greenville that serves small plates, craft cocktails and beer, and sustainable wine. Their diverse menu focuses on creating thoughtful dishes that showcase simple ingredients that have been obtained both locally and around the region. To ensure that they’re offering the freshest possible ingredients to their customers, their eclectic menu changes almost daily.

Best Views

Whether it be a romantic date night, or a day out exploring the city, stop into UP on the Roof for some of the most spectacular, unparalleled views in the city. They offer a selection of skillfully prepared cocktails, a unique selection of wines, and locally brewed craft beers. Take in the beauty of the Reedy River, Blue Ridge Mountains, and the downtown Greenville skyline while enjoying small plates that accent the best of the Upstate. Be sure to try the Roof-Tini!

Best Happy Hour

After a long day of work, happy hour is the perfect way to unwind and relax with friends or coworkers. For some of the best happy hour specials in the city, check out SIP Whiskey and Wine (4-7 pm | ½ price glasses and bottles of wine, ½ price liquor), Reys (4-7 pm | specials change depending on day of the week), and Smoke on the Water (4-7 pm | ½ off liquor, $1 off all bottled beer and glasses of wine, ½ off draft beer).

Best Sports Bar

If you’re looking for somewhere to catch the big game, there are plenty of sports bars in Greenville where you can do so.  Local Cue is a lively game and sports bar that offers delicious house-smoked BBQ. They have a large selection of draft beers, the best wings in the area, and plenty of TV’s so you won’t miss any of the action. Another fun sports bar to catch the game is Carolina Ale House. Enjoy some great food, a large beer selection, tons of TVs, and great views from their upstairs bar!
